Mahindra has designed a two-cylinder powertrain for the Maxximo Mini Van which works on Common Rail Direct Injection technique and uses a DOHC for better performance. The 909 cc engine is capable of putting out 25 bhp @ 3600 rpm and has peak torque of 55 Nm @ 2200-2400 rpm. The punch from powertrain is sensed in different load conditions. Although the van looks small, it is capable enough to carry 8 people with ease. The cable shift type transmission too is designed for easier and effective operation. The 4-speed gearbox works in accordance with the driving necessity.

Unlike other minivans in the market which have suspensions that are designed for durability rather than comfort and better handling, the Maxximo Mini Van has its IFS with McPherson Strut and Leaf Spring suspensions which derive better comfort on all kinds of road conditions.

Build & Styling

Mahindra Maxximo Mini Van looks very much fresh in its design approach and does not go unnoticed when on road. The basic structure is rigid and is of monocoque type which ensures car like handling of the minivan. The suspensions at front and rear end are designed for better sturdiness that gives strength to the vehicle. On the front there are wraparound headlamps and tough black bumpers which give a bold introduction to the vehicle. The sliding type doors and butterfly type windows of rear function smoothly to deliver better comfort to passengers. The tail lamps too are stylishly carved into the body to maintain that unique attitude carried by the overall structure.

Mahindra has carefully designed the interior of Maxximo Mini Van to include important value added features and lot of space to deliver higher order comfort. The company claims that the overall space in the cabin and seats are higher than what competitors offer. There is also a full-length rexin used on the cabin roof which can absorb heat and make sure that cabin is cool. The design of dashboard is simple yet is made of good quality materials. Glove box is large enough to store important documents and there is also a charging point intuitively incorporated in the dashboard for better functionality. The seats are thin but offer proper under thigh support and back support.

Mahindra is known for tough built vehicles and the Maxximo Mini Van continues this tradition with a monocoque structure which is rigid. The front design has structures which can absorb forces of crash during a collision and hence protect occupants from injuries. The booster assisted brakes are plus point when it comes to safety. Mahindra has also included child safety locks in sliding doors for better protection. The school van variant comes with a fire extinguisher to battle emergency situations.
